I heard something like buy a $7000 share and a member fee. I don't know what the price for the member fee...

im pretty sure the up front fee is 7600$, followed by a monthly fee after that
but glenora is probably the best place to play if you live in edmonton and can afford it.
members get way more than access than just to a badminton court fyi

it appears that the cost is quite high for glenora, and if you are already a decent player and looking for the enjoyment of the game then finding a badminton partner and renting a court at the commonwealth kinsmen or any of the others is considerably cheaper.
correct me if im wrong.

I am a member at the royal glenora and if you're a serious player then i'm sure you'll find the badminton at the kinsmen a joke compared to the badminton at the Royal Glenora. It has five excellent courts with clear white boundaries, hardwood floor, and lighting that's not to bright or dim and doesn't blind you. For training you'll find Wang Wen a four time national champion, one time chinese champion, and one time canadian open doubles champion, Michael Chan a former Malaysian National coach, and Archie Lim a talented player with an excellent mind for tactics. There's junior ladder, ladies ladder, men's ladder, and adult drop in each with talented competition. The Royal Glenora has produced many top level competitors including Dan Kai, Hao Li, Gregory Ponich, Takeisha Wang, Desmond Wang, Bobby Milroy, William Milroy, Connor Reinson, and many other unknown but talented players some ranging from eight years old to in their sixty's. As an example take Desmond Wang he may be eight but has more talent then a lot of older people. The Royal Glenora is one of the best training centers for badminton in Canada and has more then just badminton. It has: tennis (outdoor and indoor), bowling, pool (as in a pool table with sticks and balls), darts, a pool (as in swimming), basketball, squash, a fitness center, skating, a lounge, a restaurant, and obviously change rooms. There are a variety of classes available and I have most likely forgotten to mention quite a few things as this only scratches the surface.

that is deffinetly not as much compared to the clubs in calgary like liint said winter club is over $20,000 and then you just get put onto the waitlist and have to wait to actually get onto the members list. Ontop of the glenco club isnt even accepting any new members and getting into train there on a privlidged membership is pretty hard actually there really strict on who they let in. $7600 thats deffinetly not bad at all compared to things down here and for the club its worth it i think ive been there quite a few times for tournaments and well its not bad.

$7600 may not be alot of money for others, but it is still expensive for majority. I am lucky to have found some quality coaching for cheap price.

The entrance fee is now $10000 by the way, they moved it up recently.
