i missed the MS and the XD because i thought RTM did not broadcast the matches live yesterday.
in turns out, they did show it later. when i finally surfed back to rtm1, the women's singles were in the second nail biting game. tine and lu lan made it enjoyable to watch. it was a tight match. congratulations tine for winning the AE2008.
then i watched the women's double (which usually i dont because usually the two contenders were from the same country, but yesterday it was not) and boy, that was one good fight too.
really enjoyed that one. either one could have won that match.
then lastly the korean men's double, i decided to sleep because it is too late and i am working today and both contenders are form the same country. korea surely will win men's double.

CTF/LWW again showed their inability to get the match point. so many times they could not get the job done. but at least they did their best. and the korean pair really deserved the win for their level headed and calmness at the last few points. and happily they went on to win the men's doubles. so congratulations LYD. i always forgot his partner. maybe because LYD is the cute one. hahahahaha
LCW was actually listless and a bit clueless when playing chen jin in the semi finals. his famous defense was nearly inexistent. chen jin fully deserve the win as he managed to break LCW rhythm all through the game. LCW was looking like an amateur. but i still support LCW.
hopefully he'll do better in the swiss open. chen jin went on to beat lin dan but reports was saying that lin dan was injured. but nonetheless, congratulations chen jin.
all in all, a pretty exciting AE. lots of upsets. korea showed that they mean business this year. full blown contender for the OG gold.

Even though our Lee's (LCW and LWW) failed to shine but there are other Lee's (LKW, LHJ and LYD) who managed to grab the titles.

And to those who are related,
Lost is a lost.Nothing can change that.
But to be unable to wake up after the lost.Thats the real doomsday. The end of the journey.Until then, hope is there.
N stop behave sarcastically.
U'll know how it feels when ur family members didnt support when u are in trouble.
in this case, when u start continously losing in ur badminton games.

Actually,cooler.Nothing can change fact.
they lost.they played bad.they behave like juniors in badminton.
The biggest fans cant back them up with any points.
It is clear.
The support is there. But truths are revealed.
No multipurpose's stuff. We hope lee's can win.Simple.3 years old kid can understand this. But to behave like adults n tell the truth in any situation.
Im trying to do this.

It was really disappointing after seeing the Malaysian getting crushed in the semis.
What happen to LCW he was not even playing (well not till the last few points of second game, too late!!) and LWW & CTF as usual they just can't perform under pressure........... really disappointing
I am just looking forward to OG 08 and hope that it won't be as disappointing as this....

Lww/Ctf excuse is 'We failed to finish it off when it matters most'
Being unable to take pressure at ur 30s sound ridiculous.
It is more to unneccessary mistake.
N Lcw,just not up to chen jin's level this march.August will bring something.Hopefully.
N yes.Looking forward.Not backward.

I was actually rather impressed by LWW/CTF, especially LWW. Other than the brain cramp towards the end, the match was of high quality compared to the finals. There were several rallys that were simply breathtaking. Granted the end result wasn't the desired one for MAS fans and a bit of a letdown by CTF but overall solid effort from both sides. So even tho they're being criticized for their lack of finish and rightly so, I can't deny that they've played really well up to that point.
As for LCW, sigh..it's not just that he played bad but he employed the wrong strats. I honestly feel that even if LCW doesn't play up to his standard he could still beat most players (LD being the exception) in 3 games. 2 if everything was working together. Same can be said too about LD. That double whammy is what cost him. Failing to recognize early or just plain stubborn whichever the case may be that his approach wasn't working. I hope he doesn't carry that over into the OG.

Totally agree. How can LCW get the strategy and tactics so wrong?Misbun , his coach got it wrong or LCW the player, being naughty? CJ played very well but would be sufficiently contained by LCW with the right moves.(Maybe Morten Frost should be guest coach once just like he did for Tine in JO07, culminating with her breakthrough win) My guess is LCW was trying to conserve energy for his final vs LD, not realising that can result in his loss.He probably did that with Tommy S.thinking he has to conserve energy before meeting TH.He forgot CJ is just one class below him and not a rookie like Tommy.(With the NSS, a top player can take chances with a rookie but not one who is a class or even two below them.)
There seemed a touch of arrogance in his approach to CJ and he was served a good lesson(if he learns). Or maybe the AE MS prize money was not worth it;actually worse than last year's?
When is LCW gonna learn there's no need for him to conserve energy at all in a tournament? His JO07 sensational win proves that he has the fitness and stamina to go the max of 5 tough matches in a row against opponents who have easier runs.Should I be his freelance shrink?

i watched the AE match between LCW and TH and Frost was with the commentator. and frost was saying that LCW have this passiveness that makes it difficult for him to pressure his opponent and finish the game. i agree. i dont think it was a show of arrogance. i think it was more a passiveness in his game that he was beaten by chen jin. chen jin played very well. he, however, was making mistakes and making errors due to the pressure chen jin managed to put on him. even when he is full of energy he tends to play safe.

I hope BAM, Rexy, and the whole Malaysian team find comfort in this Lee's celebration
I'll be jumping naked (in my room, of coz) if LCW standing on the podium (regardless of the "color" of the medal)
