The majority of pros use BG65 and BG65Ti with 31-34 lbs. I can assure that this information comes from an official source.

Normally the arguments used to justify the tension, is the control, notwithstanding Yonex doesn't say what are the effects of the different tensions on the strings.

I know that more tension=more control, but less repulsion. But each string has its own behavior. We see that pros don't loose repulsion because of the tension, and don't tell me that they have lots of strength, because to the majority of us its very easy put shuttlecocks out of the court.

And why they use BG65 and BG65 Ti?

Actually, it's more like BG65 and BG80. Both are generally very good strings, and for pros, the tension loss for BG65 is negligible because they string right before their matches.

Pros don't actually lose power from super tight tensions; high tensions is like a stiff shaft on a racquet; if you can flex them using your own strength, then they will in return reward you with greater power. If you don't flex them with the required strength, they will not bounce much, and you will have more control over your touch shots.

a lot of them use bg65 cuz they don't need the power from the strings which they possess already..=)

Is that true? Then why wouldnt they use a powerful string so as to get more powerful shots?

i beleive that they dont use a more powerful string as they simply dont need anymore power, smashes are rarely an outright winner, its the deception and accuracy of shots that create the opportunity to finish a rally

Actually, many people also say that BG65 at high tension performs at its best.

Here's a list of strings+racquets used by the pros..

For pros, the don't need the repulsion due to their power. For normal people bg66 gives the best repulsion. IMHO.

I once had a racket strung at 27 lbs, bg65. It made "ping ping" noise when i hit the shuttle. I dont feel like I had a lot of power????? Maybe I got not enough power

I think strings that have so called high tech coatings like Ti and Nano don't seem to have that feel or touch. It may add a little power and may also have a longer life but feels a bit "dead". I could be wrong but this is my personal opinion.
