tantri is a girl's name and tantra is a boy's name

..yes, i remember that link (thx for pointing it out, again, Hall0); i would take it Tantra is the correct spelling of Eti's last name...Although, i still can't figure out why her last name has been mistyped quite a few times (in many publications/tourneys)..

At Sanskrit's most basic level, tantra relates to religious rituals
And a tantri would be one who performs tantra, essentially a priest

In another discretely defined context, tantra also mean strategy
And in combination, tantra assumes varied meanings...
...e.g., rasa-tantra is Chemistry

..there are no such words such as "tantri" and/or "tantra" in Indonesian language.

However, yes, the surnames do exist. Btw, Tantra and Tantri are derived from the surname Tan or in Mandarin, Chen.
