Hellow guy, I found a very old racket at home that belongs to my mother. It's A kennex Carbonpro B 717 and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how old this racket is. My mother could answer this question and I was just wondering what year it is from. Also extra info as if it was a good racket back than,... Cryptail
my uncle, cousin and i had similar racquets, uncle had the 767 (maroon), cousin the 747 (blackish) and myself the 727 (blueish). my broke unfortunately in a clash. must have been what, 18 years ago now?
kinda of out topic, but i also have a pro kennex racket that i start using when i first learn badminton. i try to google it but it didn't give me any results. i remember i got it in 1994-1995 and i'm still love using it
tear drop badminton racquet thats pretty cool, how high can you string that anyways? is the shaft any bigger than the badminton racquets now or about the same size?
i also would like to know how high it can string to. the stringing was done too long ago and i have no clue what's the tension is. i believe it's around 17-19lbs right now here's a pic for comparison with my cracked AT900T :crying:
hmm 18 years old, that could be possible. It's wonder my mother still plays with it, after al those years it never broke
my uncle's and cousin's racquets are still intact, though to be fair they have not been used for a number of years now. mine 'died' as a result of a horrendous clash.
thanks for posting the pic, yeah would be interesting to find out. one of my friends has an old wooden racquet i cant remember the name its strung at like probally 12-13lbs maby 15lbs at the most and i use it alot just when playing and also has a really old wilson racquet with a steel shaft i use that one too its probally around 15lbs i use that one more. but that looks a lil larger than the 900 shaft like the shaft itself not the joint.
man, i just got the AT900T us a replacement of my pro kennex in 2007 summer. then i had a clash with my friend last week while he was using my prokennex racket :crying: thank god the pro kennex didn't crack and still alive
yes, it's around that age. I have strung this exact racket about 5 times before i went away to play at another club
24 lbs for 3 times, 25 lbs for last 2 times before i left that club u should search for the ideal tension thread http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12569&highlight=tension http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11147&highlight=tension i suggest 27 lbs max for that racket from my experience
finally!! i took it to sgvbc the other day and the guy strung it with 25lbs without problem. my pro kennex is kicking ass again
dang perryphw you must be a diehard badminton dude, Huntington beach to sgvbc. i biitch driving from west covina
@perryphw. I have the same teardrop racquet. Except mine's a green/blue shade. I had it restrung recently and still consider it my primary racquet. I'm looking for a backup, so if you're selling...
