    Hello everyone!
I was wondering if theres a technique where you hit the white tape and the birdie goes tipping over, or is it just luck?
    Thanks! :D

well you can aim for it but then after that it would just be luck if it goes over or not so more or less you can try to roll it over the tape each time but wheather or not that happens is more or less based upon luck.

My coach does it all the time.. Just practise precise drives. It's easier with a stiff-shafted racquet with high-tensionned strings IMO.

I believe so too, because by looking at LCW play, we often see him doing some.. crazy returns.. he dives and return the shuttle with his backhand, it nearly always hits the tip of white tape, and falls onto the other side..

If LCW somehow becomes an active member at BC, the server will crash because too many people would come to the training/techniques section to seek for advise from LCW.

i dont think LCW aims for the tape. He just aims to get it as close to the tape as possible.

He aims *over* the tape, but as close to it as possible.

lol that's like saying, when you smash, you should aim out, so it'll land on the line ;)...personally, i find that if you aim for a person's face, you often hit them right on the chest, dead center, but i doubt that has anything to do with this xD:D

I have a habit of aiming at the opponent's body. Bad habit, I always have to say 'sorry' about ten times a set.. I've been trying to get rid of that habit, so that I can actually make the opponent run, instead of just hitting at them.. :crying:

haha.. 'I'm sorry but I'll have to break your ankle ;).'

Back to topic.. the only technique which allows you to 'hit the white tape and make the shuttle go over the net' is to *aim* and practise. Just yesterday, I kept doing that.. most of my drop/smash returns hit the tip and went over, or just went over perfectly. People called it a 'fluke', but I just kept doing it, and I sort of figured out that hitting the shuttle against the wall is quite effective for practising that.

Just mark the wall with a tape or something at exactly 1.55m( i think ), horizontally.
