I have been trying to get information on badminton in Charlotte but they are saying there are no openings for new members--at least that's what their website says. My wife used to play in England and I am new to the sport and we are pretty keen on finding people and places at which to play. Know of any alternatives? Any chance that someone has found someplace other than Hawthorne at which to play?
Thanks.

I'm from England and am keen to play again. Has anyone found anywhere else to play? I live in South Charlotte and am happy to play in school halls etc. I guess all we need are enough people, a venue and some commitment...

I'm willing to help assemble another club if necessary - please let me know if you would like to work with me on establishing a club in south Charlotte (I live in Monroe, NC so I could even consider northern, south carolina locations.)
Thanks!!

still looking a better club in NC
Is there any good club out there in Charlotte, NC other than the one at Hawthorn. Most of the players over Hawthorn does not like to play with weakling or beginner. They'll not show you but they'll teach you a things or two to remind you do it probably. I'm completely lost all my skills ever since I immigrant to US in 2003 until now I tried to rejoin badminton club..... If you see me play you can they I lost it all. My reflexes is weaker than I thought, and all footpath and swinging is doing all wrong plus I do not remember the rules at all. Anyway, please do let me know guys if anyone of you find a good club or if you want to join me as a guess in Hawthorn I will go with you other than that I'll just wait until they accept me as member. Thanks in advance

I guess there are no alternative ways, unless we or one of us start hosting. I'm located in Matthew.
