WITH a beaming smile on her face Olivia Payne is the picture of health, leaping around the badminton court. The talented 16-year-old has played badminton for England and was always one of the brightest students in school. Amazingly, less than two years ago her immune system was so weak that any infection could have been fatal and minor ailments like a sore throat needed hospital treatment. Diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disorder called Aplastic anaemia, Olivia was too sick to go to school and needed 10 months of blood transfusions before a match was found in Germany to allow a bone marrow transplant operation to go ahead. way to go olivia!!!!!!!! http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/people/Star-badminton-girl--bounds.3512871.jp
