Let's hope George in the jungle doesn't "post" (hotlink) every single pic when you can just as well go the official photo album yourself ;): http://www.ecteams2008.nl/photos.php
(and that includes the link there as well)

    Predictions:

    WOMEN'S TEAM
Denmark to beat Russia and face Germany in the SF.

    France to beat Scotland

Netherlands vs England is 50-50. England has an edge in the doubles, with Netherlands in the Singles. Strange though that Yao Jie is not playing in singles

    MEN'S TEAM
Denmark to beat Sweden. They will surely win the European Team Championships very comfortably with Peter Gade, an in-form Kenneth Jonassen, Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen and Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen in the doubles. The only weak link is perhaps Joachim Persson. Strangely, no Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen as I thought it will be a good opportunity for them to win some ranking pts.

    Germany to beat Wales

Poland vs Netherlands can go the wire. Poland has Przmyslaw Wacha and Michal Logosz/Robert Mateusiak to win 2 points. Netherlands has 2 strong singles in Dicky Palyama and Eric Pang.

    England to beat Russia

England Uber team are in bad shape, losing the 1st two singles in straight games.

Denmark 1 up on Russia. France 1 up on Scotland.

As expected, Poland and Netherlands shared the first 4 points, with Wacha and Logosz/Mateusiak contributing the points. Wacha became the hero as he partnered Adam Cwalina to seal the last tie and won it 3-2! Congrats to Poland!

    The Semi-Finals lineup:
    MEN'S TEAM
Denmark vs Germany -- another 3-0 sweep for Denmark.

Poland vs England -- could be another nail-biter here. Wacha and Logosz/Mateusiak to contribute the first 2 points, but, England has the edge in the other 2 singles and the second doubles. England to win this one, but, Poland has another chance to qualify for the Thomas Cup.

    WOMEN'S TEAM
Germany vs Denmark -- it will be close with Xu Huaiwen and the second WD for Germany able to win the points. Nevertheless, Germany should qualify by beating Scotland in the playoff.

Scotland vs Netherlands -- no question, Netherlands to win.

With England I am not that surprised cos Holland is a decent team...especially in the singles department...But France got knocked out is a dissappoinment considering they have Pi Hong Yuan who are ranked top 10 in the world...
