Hi - I am looking for information on places to play badminton on Brisbane's southside, around the Runcorn, Sunnybank or Mt Gravatt areas, but if not there, anywhere on the southside. I am aware of the Dragon club, but would be grateful if anybody could give any other options, as I want to explore all possibilities!

I have not played badminton since my school days (quite a while ago now! - nearly twenty years...) and would like to get playing again, for the enjoyment of the game, the fitness aspect and the social aspect, too - I feel that it would be a great way to meet some new people. I haven't lived in Brisbane for that long, so would love the opportunity to meet some new people.

Finally, as I've not played badminton for so long, I would also feel like a beginner, so would need a club that was 'friendly' towards adult beginners!

If anybody is able to give me any contact email addresses, websites or even 'phone numbers, it would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to your replies!

    Cheers - Andy. :D

    Hey Andy,

Good place to start is the "where to play" page of the qba.net.au site.

Majestics Badminton Club would be your best bet, I believe there's a Sunday afternoon session in addition to the Wednesday night listed.

Other places that I know are listed in this thread:

Depending on how south of Brisbane you are you could also try the South Port Badminton Club on the Gold Coast.

I just move to live in Brisbane. Now, I'm at Windrest street, Strathpine. I have been playing badminton twice a week for 5 year in Vietnam. Have anybody suggest me the nearest club that i can play badminton? And how to join that badminton club?

I look forward to your reply!
    Regards,
    Tung
