It was strategy in the match against Spore to field Lim Pek Siah/Ng Hui Lin.
In the match against Spore, Rexy said they chose that combination based on what is best style/formation against Spore's 2nd WD.

Our junior WD not bad, just Goh has less International exposure than Ng HL. Ng with XD partner Lim Khim Wah play more in senior level, trying to qualify for OG. Hui Lin also more successful in XD, winning 2007 World Juniors, so...

ya. i though that hkg will field their best but didnt. rexy is very smart in strategy. if i am not mistaken wpt partner ng in last year sea games team event rite?

Oh? In post tournament intv with Zakry & LWW, they said they need to win at least 2 matches against opponents, but dunno whether it's team win or individual win.

Rexy was NOT chief coach for SEA Games 2007, he didnt even go, wasnt involved in the project.
Rashid Sidek was chief, WPT was partnered with Hui Lin for some matches, and Khe Wei for individual. But main reason was CEH was injured, so the other 2 juniors in senior team are Hui Lin & Khe Wei.

Anyway, that was bf Cheah Soon Kit resigned from BAM, Cheah was still calling the shots in WD then.

the Junior doubles are given more exposure than than the single player. I wonder why is that so.? Goh Lui Ying/Ng HuiLing and Woon Khe Wei are given more exposure. They are playing in the All England and Swiss. Anita and Lydia are not in the european tours. Could it be they are not good enough???

If that the case.. we should not expect too much from them. No wonder Anita and Lydia ranking is so low.
