Couldn't find much comments on Victor Champion shuttles here. I last played with it more than 20 years ago during the Inter-school and National 'B' Boys competition and I wasn't very impressed with it in terms of durability. Has it improved nowadays?

    Any comments anyone?

These shuttles have QC issuses as the Victor rep has admitted this. Since I've used these before I switched to Yonex, here is what the problem is. The corks can dented when using them - something which should not happen with a top of the line shuttle.

these shuttles play well onli for the first 5-10 rallies or so..after tht..it starts to slow down significantly..so..i would say that..it is gd onli when it is brand new and for the first few rallies..lol

    this is IMO.

victor quality slidded during the bird flu period and didn't really recover 100%. Alot of my playing buddies use both the blue and green grades. The blue is ok for the price but the top grade green is no better than the blue in term of durability. It is the worst quality of the top grade brand name shuttles i have used. The 2006 to mid 2007 batch i find the green always seem to have 1 feather broken quickly, rendering the whole shuttle useless. If the victor managers think diluting with 10% of lesser quality feathers to control costs they are horriblely mistaken. I did play singles with a recently bought victor green (not by me tho) and it seem ok on current batches. However, it was only 1 match of MS. As others have said, the cork is not as good as other brands of similar price or other #1 grade.

In calgary, where the climate is dry and light air, any weak quality in a shuttle reveal itself, quickly.

I have used them more so the blue ones i have used the green as well though. I can say that i personally dont like their durability as they die pretty quickly so thats not the best and they still do. I remember at a tournament that we used them there was alot of them being used so yeah that wasnt to good. They arnt bad though in terms of flight and all that might require some slowing down but yeah nothing bad to say there so yeah. The blue is cheap and well if yonex is to much the a good alternative i say so yeah you can go with that.

ur lucky because Van. uses common speed. Here our choices are more limited due to lack of speed availability of other brands

    I noticed..

..there are Victor Champion shuttles as well as Victor Tourney shuttles. Both have the "Blue" models.
In my case, I've used Victor "Blue" shuttles before, but don't recall if it's the Champion (higher) series or the Tourney (lower) series. I recall it had pretty good flight and durability for the price it was sold, around $11-12 per tube; i take it that's the Victor Tourney series. In comparison to the D&A shuttles, i think it's pretty comparable or close to the D&A Yellow shuttles.
Are both Victor "Blues" of the same quality??..
