I was thinking about buying a Kason Carvel for my younger brother to play with but I'm confused about whats distinctive between the U-3 and U-4 models. What is the difference between them? Also, Brownie points for names of shops where I can get it for cheap :D . Thanks for your help.

I suppose then the U-3 (blue) would look alot better than the U-4 (brown). You get some brownie points for good info and shop link, thank you. Any other info? Anything is welcomed.

:DU designates the weight range of the racket...U-4 is usually about 84 grams and U-3 about 89grams...:D

not quite accurate in this case. the U-3 and U-4 are model numbers not weights. I believe the racquets are actually 5u in weight classification.

Which series would be a better purchase decision?
    -Kason Carvel U3/U4
    -Kason Legerity L5
    -Kason Lepton F1/F2
-Kason Excel C5 (anyone ever heard of this racket before?)
Also how would these rackets go up against other light weight rackets like for example, the prince triple threat warrior (discontinued), or the Karakal SL-70/mtec 70, etc.?
Their specs are really close together but I know that they have their distinctive playing feel and differences. The challenge now is figuring out what feeling and differences that they have apart from each other. Any info is appreciated.

I had a Legerity. I liked it a lot. I did have some trouble adjusting to it for certain shots (mostly quick shots around the head and such) but that's mostly because I'm used to much shorter racquets and the grip was too small for my taste.

It ended up breaking when I too a tumble walking outside in the winter (I don't think any racquet would have survived).

One funny thing to note which I did not see in the pictures is that they have slogans written up the side to shaft. The legerity says "Experience the agile feeling of L5!"... strange.

if you search around there are some posts that explain some of the differences in balance, etc between the models. I can't remember the details anymore.

I know this is a thread revival,... but from what i can see... the U3 is only guarunteed to support up to 26lbs of string tension,... where as the U4 is even less.

but that's according to Ebay,... rackets aren't even listed on Kason's website now.
