To Fellow Badminton Players: The 2002 CPB Youth Open Badminton Tournament is being organized by the Mississauga Board of Chinese Professionals and Businesses Youth Group, and is scheduled for 9am to 6pm, Saturday, May 18, 2002 at Woodlands Secondary School. The objective of this event is to promote the social competitiveness of badminton and help out in our community. The tournament will consist of Mixed Doubles, Men's Doubles, and Women's Doubles. Each team will be guaranteed a minimal of two games each. Competitors will be asked to supplement tournament costs with a nominal fee of $10 per person in the first event, and $5 per event thereafter. Non CPB members add $3 to their registration fee (can become a member at www.cpbmississauga.com). To promote competitive badminton, random draws will take place with door prizes and other exciting prizes. An emphasis will be placed on ensuring that most participants receive a small token of our appreciation. The tournament will be promoted throughout the GTA and beyond with heavy participation from badminton clubs, high schools, university campuses, and members of CPB. Thanks Everyone! See you then!
