Guys and girls are welcome to drop in. We are playing every Tuesday from 6pm - 8pm. There's 4 badminton courts, good high ceiling, decent lighting, hardwood floors. This club is sponsored by a Chinese agency so we are currently only looking for Cantonese/Mandarin speaking youths from the ages of 14 - 24. All levels of play are welcome. Bring your own birds. Oh, don't forget it's FREE!! For more info please email me directly at henryd88@hotmail.com or add me to your msn.

Place: Timothy Eaton's School (Finch & Warden area)
    (1251 Bridletowne Circle Scarborough, ON M1W 1S7)

    Time: Every Tuesday from 6pm - 8pm

Seems kind of ridiculous that it's only for cantonese/mandarin speaking youths. Seems ignorant to me.

I agree with you guys totally. It was my idea but sorry I didn't make these rules. It's actually a Chinese agency trying to run a program to gather chinese speaking youths together for a very good cause. It's actually a get together to find out what we can do to give back to our community. I knew I was going to get flamed by starting this tread but where was I to find more badminton players. The idea was to find a bunch of people with similar interests, form a group, and help new Chinese immigrants (thus the speech part was vital). The age thingy was also complicated because it had to do with many legal issues of that agency. I really hope you guys understand. If it was all up to me I'd just say FREE BADMINTON FOR ALL.

Well I'm glad you cleared this up for me, I was just frustrated before but this clears stuff up for me. Thanks for replying though, and free badminton is always a good idea. Hope you do get a good turnout now.

Thanks for understand ksrboi and Tedfong. Sorry taumax, badminton is a game for all ages in my opinion. A lot of the times the older players even though a tad slower show a much more mature and hence a more enjoyable game. However due to legal issues I can't invite you if you are over 24. Sorry.

Tsuioku, if you look like you're under 24 and you say so I'll take your word for it (cough, cough). It's only for cases where you look like you're under 12 and over 30 for sure where we'll need to check ID. We're trying out best to keep things SIMPLE and allow people to have fun, get together, and help others.
