coming to a court near you...
    MS:
Hyun Il Lee over Weijie Gong. There's no stopping the train that is LHI at the moment
Seung Mo Shon over Sho Sasaki. On paper it appears that Shon can take Sasaki but Shon laboured in his win over Pang while Sasaki must be boosted by his elimination of the #1 seed

    WS:
Yihan Wang over Wenyan Li. End of the road for the qualifier. Wang Yihan is being groomed as the next messiah of CHN women's badminton
Jae Youn Jun over Juliane Schenk. Duh! (actually, Juliane is playing quite well but it's strongly against my principles to bet against my Jun ;):D)

    MD:
Jae Sung Jung/Yong Dae Lee over Sang Hoon Han/Gun Woo Cho. LYD/JJS are looking soooooo good right now
Jae Jin Lee/Ji Man Hwang over Zhendong Guo/Zhongbo Xie. Not convinced about the CHN pair. The KOR pair are worth their #2 seeding

    WD:
Kyung Won Lee/Hyo Jung Lee over Ling Gao/Tingting Zhao. Tough one to call whenever your opponent is the incomparable Gao Ling. However it takes 2 to play doubles and ultimately the 2 Koreans together are better
Yu Chin Chien/Wen Hsing Cheng over Miyuki Maeda/Satoko Suetsuna. I like the consistency shown by Chien/Cheng. The JAP tandem are no pushovers but experience will win out especially on the crucial points

    XD:
Yong Dae Lee/Hyo Jung Lee over Chen Xu/Tingting Zhao. The LYD factor looms large. The female Lee has to minimize her errors
Hanbin He/Yang Yu over Sang Hoon Han/Yu Mi Hwang. LYB has probably read the riot act to He/Yu and told them to smarten up after their flirt with disaster in the QF. They won't make the same mistake twice

As predicted earlier KOR dominates almost all aspects in this year Germany GP with their primary players. And the real battle will coming up next week...

    Men's Singles
Sho Sasaki [13] vs Shon Sheung Mo -- the Olympics silver-medallist is gaining momentum right now.

Gong Weijie vs Lee Hyun Il [2] -- I will be very surprised if Lee do not win his second titles of the year in German Open this week.

    Men's Doubles
Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae [1] vs Han Sang Hoon/Cho Gun Woo -- 3 of the 4 SF spots belong to Korea. I expect Jung/Lee to win their first title in one year.

Guo Zhendong/Xie Zhongbo [3] vs Lee Jae Jin/Hwang Ji Man [2] -- a preview of what it will look like in the Thomas Cup 2nd Doubles encounter between CHN and KOR. Lee/Hwang to win!

    Women's Singles
Wang Yihan vs Li Wenyan -- the Chinese player from the National Team will take it.

Juliane Schenk [3] vs Jun Jae Yun [2] -- Jun to win and probably win a title here?

    Women's Doubles
Lee Kyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung [1] vs Gao Ling/Zhao Tingting [5] -- nothing less than a title will please Gao Ling here. The Chinese pair to take this one!

Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda [4] vs Chien Yu-Chin/Cheng Wen-Hsing [2] -- the Chinese-Taipei pair is so stable that only Chinese pairs (and perhaps Lee/Lee) can beat them at the moment.

    Mixed Doubles
He Hanbin/Yu Yang [1] vs Han Sang Hoon/Hwang Yu Mi [3] -- the top-seed to prevail!

Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung [4] vs Xu Chen/Zhao Tingting -- Lee/Lee should take it and reach another Final.

Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung have to play the right strategy when playing He Hanbin/Yu Yang. Better to have it like the Korea Open Final with Lee Yong Dae in front, facing Yu Yang. He looked more composed & confident, like against Vita last time. In this way, Lee Hyo Jung will make less error in front of the net.

I would say Yu Yang is significantly better at the net than either of the Lee's. I would say the pressure would be better applied to HHB.

I predict Gong Weijie will upset Lee Hyun Il, avenging LD's loss in the KO Finals :)... Lets see how things pan out.
