besides the usual BG66, 68, 68Ti, 80, 85, 65, 65Ti which most of us have tried, how about those newer ones like 65Power, 强, 66Sharp etc? any noticeable increase in durability and performance? I would like to know because they cost around 20-25% more than standard strings.
Some JP strings perform better than SP/CH strings. NBG98, CBG100 and BG66S(all JP strings) will not disappoint you.
I'm using it. Compared to the usual BG65, yes, it's a little bit more powerful. I've tried it on my MP40 @ 22lbs, not bad, but the tension was too low to enjoy it. I've got it strung at 26lbs on my AT700, it feels better. I restrung my MP40 with Ashaway Micropower XL at 24lbs, and it performs better than the bg65power at 22lbs.. I think it performs better at higher tensions. Hehe.. I still have another pack of royal-blue bg65power strings, a pack of nbg98 and nbg95 . In Japan, most strings cost the same price. BG65 and BG37 are the only cheaper ones. BG66, BG65Power, BG65Ti, BG68Ti, Bg75Ti, BG80, Bg85, BG88Ti, NBG95 and NBG98 all cost the same price.. 1260 yen or so. The CBG100 costs 100yen more, at 1360yen at most sports-shops.
i have a penchant for thicker strings. like the delayed kick feeling, and also the better control that comes with it. currently the favourite would be BG65Ti. hopefully the BG65Power will be better.
JP Vs. other code is overhyped. Even if there is a difference, the extra $ is not worth the extra quality.
