well those asics shoes that your interested in are for volleyball as it states on the site, some volleyball shoes could be used for badminton it is true but since you are considering thr yonex 100's which are a badminton specific shoe i would be a little more inclined go with them but thats just me. the sole on the volleyball shoes doesnt look like it would cause any problems but if theres adaquete protection for stop and go movements in the horizontal directions would be my question since volleyball is more of a vertical movement concern. Personally id try to get something badminton specfic first before i looked into a volleyball or other sport shoe. If price is the issue then there are other yonex shoes and even other badminton specific shoes as well out there.

oh..my frens got this shoes too...
they had been use for it in playing badminton....not too bad, and very comfortable coz to the gel Asics have....

but if ask to choose between Yonex and asics...
    that is depends on yourself....
    each brand had it benefit...

    my 2 cents..
