Hello. I'm looking for more reviews and encouragements to buy the At-900P. I saw threads on the At-900P/T and often times it is cluttered with Technique fans. I want this thread to be dedicated to the Power only, post all of your thoughts. You can post all of its great power! I'm looking for better smash power. Can you state which weight and size too? Like 3ug5? Post away!

I dont know how to describe this, its the best thing that ive ever come across really. Again, this all revolves around great technique and skill but i find that it dominates in almsot every aspect. Power, control, speed( maybe jsut this one factor but doesnt affect me too much), feel, etc. I first had the technique and was good, until i started working on proper technique and strengthening my forearm, it eventually go to the point where i could not get the sufficient power i expected and just switched over to the At900P where it was head heavier and stiffer. Now, i find it a bit on the flexy side, but again, thats just my personal preference.

overall, this racket is a beast! =] Like godzilla....XD

I'm using AT900 Power, 4ug5 JP coded. I've tried other yonex rackets before, but for me this is the BEST, power-wise, and yes, also in terms of control.

    ???

It works like wonder for beginers like me...

I found my skill being improved b/c of this racquet... the sweet spot is smaller than the 900T or other racquets I have. So I would get owned if I mis-hit... :p

I have a 3UG5 JP model and it's next to perfect in terms of weight, performance, stability, feel, and power. It's everything that the nanospeed Type-X was supposed to be IMO. I found that the weight and grip size plays a big role and has some performance differences. I tried a 4UG5 and it was lighter both lighter and faster, but the whip power does not seem as great as the one I have. The 3UG4 SP that I tried had a completely different balance point and it's shifted almost by 1 cm towards less head heavy and it didn't play as well for me (mind you the strings were not at my ideal tension).

Summary: If you're considering getting one of the best yonex racquets made of all time... get your hands on a 3ug5 as long as the grip size suits you!

Agree about the g5 and g4 business. One of my ti10 is g5 and another is g4. Although I wrap the grip on g5 thicker so that it almost equates the size of my g4, the balance point of g4 is 0.5 cm on the less head heavy compared to g5.

I gotta agree.. G5 is the best. My MP40 3UG5 JP plays the best for me IMO, because it just 'feels' right. My AT700 3UG4 JP however, didnt 'feel' right. The grip size was too uncomfortable. I ended up using sandpaper to try to make it smaller, and applying overgrip directly onto the wooden handle to try to immitate the G5 grip size.
    Optiblue, I might copy you and buy a 3UG5 AT900 JP :p

That doesn't sound very good. Whats the definition of advanced player? Must place 1st 2nd or third in a tournament? O.O

The guys who can produce good power with the At-900P, are you all advanced players?

If a player is already doing that well, I doubt that he/she needs what the AT 900P promises. :)

I guess he meant someone who can really use this racket.Just like AT700..if u're an offensive player who's packed with all strength, then it would fit u.But if u're just a defensive player, then AT700 won't fit u good.My friend used to won 1st place in some competitions,he can use any rackets to play, but when he countered with AT700,he can't get used to it.
So,basically, choosing a racket should go with ur prefference or ur game style.

Everyone can use any rackets, whether it's high end or low end..but the difference is,can u show the racket's real face? It's true that when AT700 or AT900P is played by someone advanced, some who got the ability..then those rackets would be monstrous..but when it's played by beginner, novice player..this great rackets would seems like any ordinary rackets..

yes agree with you all about saying the AT-900P isn't for beginners. It is a great racket to those who can play with it effectively, and by that, I mean now only being able to pack a good punch in your smashes.
