Hello, welcome, and do a search on the forum. It's been covered extensively in multiple multiple threads...
If you want to improve your footwork, do the four-corner footwork drill. You can also get a coach to coach you on your footwork.
There are a couple very good threads under Badminton Tournament Video Sharing, specifically http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52310 and http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42756 Download the videos, watch, and then go practice. They should give you a good ideas on what to do.
