Having beaten both Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan, Chen Jin is on a roll Will his current form take him all the way to the podium at Beijing? Or is this streak just too good to last until the Olympic Games?
I guess he is going to be the next champion. He is also very all rounded, but his defense is not as good as good as LD. But he is good, the man after LD.
he looks to be transforming into what China sees as the successor from Lin Dan but with him in form so early, one might suspect that he may burn out after the Thomas Cup =\...still...China has many options and threats in the Olympics this year xD
I think he is an up and coming great player He has a great around the head smash which proved to be deadly against lin dan ( look at the stats to see his smash winners ) I agree his defending may not be the best but it can only get better as he is still young. Bejing may be his time to shine which i hope it is
beat LD that with injury, not a glory win......... however, hope CJ can keep up his good work. Chn does need more good MS player.......
actually i disagree, CHN needs more better MDs players ...i think for MS and WS, they need more consistancy rather than quantity...
only one tournament...wait till he wins the upcoming super series to say this..... hopefully this is not the downfall of lin dan
I part of his victory over Lin Dan and Chong Wei is also luck. With Lin Dan playing with injury and bringing him to a deuce...that's not really good. In Chong Wei's case, Chong Wei didn't played his full strength as most have said, he played too safe in the game. Nevertheless, I agree that his a bright future for China. At his age, able to be in World No.4 is something remakable. Well, that's my point of view.
i think Chen Jin had a special wish during CNY to get an injured Lin Dan for a final ...but if your opponent doesn't play to his/her full potential or plays too cautious, it should not discredit your work ethic or skill during that day =P...IMO Chen Jin played AMAZINGLY well BOTH games, and worked extremely hard. he should be incredibly happy, and i hope he has more AE titles in his future

I don't deny he's a good player. The other plus point is his still very young. This means more chances for him to win it.
last year, or maybe a couple of years back now, i thought this kid had all the potential in the world to be the best. since then though, he hasn't made the improvement that i've expected of him, so i'm wondering whether his ability has peaked. he is certainly the best player in his age group, but i think he's still a class below LD, LCW and TH when they are all fully fit and in form.
That do agree with you a bit but i still believe that he will reach their standards one day, maybe in the next year or so. Think of the improvement that he has made over the last year
I am not surprise to see statement like this from the Malaysia fans. LCW lost because he is not trying, TBH/KKK lost because they underestimated the opponent. Do you guys ever give credit to the winners???
well ... Actually Chen Jin did it just once, it's very early to say if he'll be able to keep his consistency and win upcomings tournaments,
YES!!! I'm so happy Chen Jin took his first and hopefully not last AE title! I agree that LCW and LD didn't play optimal, but still, salute to CJ! Wooohooo!!
Huh? Please Look Up His Record! Once? If you're referring to the All England Open, once is right. But that isn't any measure of a player, is it? If so, Taufik Hidayat, who's never won the AE, would be a nobody From here, Chen Jin goes to the Swiss Open. Well, he's also the defending champion there
lol you can't really compare Taufik and chen Jin, Taufik didn't win AE but he's a former world champion and he's the current OG champion and asian Champion =p I did look at his record, Okay Chen Jin is two times world junior champion but chen jin's career is a bit too short and taufik's too long to be really compared =p
