Out of sudden Sunrise import this new improve version of BG-6 from China (It is made in China) called the BG-9. It is 0.66mm and the feedback from the seller was it is more solid feel compare to BG-6. Just share.
There sure will be difference. Seems like china is making alot of cheaper models of the products they have. Example:yonex ultima series, sb series.
Just talk about Yonex string, nothing can replace BG-66 despite I'm not a sopporter to it. But I was told Gosen R4X100 and R4X200 is quite a good string. Anyway, I'm a 0.70mm string lover.
Can you point me to a link where I can find this? I've just ordered some BG-6 for testing (v. cheap - but I'm not optimistic about the durability). Will post review soon.
Ah, but there is (for BG-6, anyway): http://www.mybadmintonstore.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=476 Looks to be the same as BG-66, only in optic yellow, but look at the PRICE! If it turns out to be as durable as 66 it might prove very popular (as long as it eventually comes in some other colours as well).
Just for curiosity, I ordered some along with the 66 from MBS too. http://www.bbeshop.com/yonex/yonex2006/string_bg6.htm For what it's worth shows the Yonex rating.
Hmm... repulsion 7/10? Somewhat defeats the point of a 0.66 IMO. If this turns out to be the case then the only draw is the price. However, Yonex have been canny here - if durability's down then that means re-orders... I just hope they aren't phasing 66 out. As a matter of interest, have any overseas shoppers had any experience with Bluesky? Their prices are slightly better than my's, but my comes through with its free shipping...
I have a cab 21 strung with bg 9 at 22x24 lbs. I've only played half hour or so with them, so it's more of a first impression. I usually play with bg 80 so I can't give the obvious comparison with bg 66. I'd say power is about equal to bg 80 but softer to the feel. A bit more slipery as well, but nowere near as slipery as, say bg 68ti. First impression is good. If it holds tension it's a bargain. I do have some bg 66 layin around and I will probably do a direct camparison later on. But that's at least a month away.
i've used bg9 with Arc-10 and NS9k-X, 26#. I have to say that the power is very good, but the durability is a problem, bg66 lasts longer than bg9 at the same tension, but bg9 costs a lot less.
Since I started tweekin' around with strings I have to say that Bg9 is not as good as bg66. I have had two cab 21 strung at 22x24 with bg66 and bg9. Bg66 feels more lively, and bg9 a bit dead at times. Bg66 also has more texture so it grips better. Power wise bg66 holds a slight edge, but not by much. In my case the bg9 holds tension as well as bg66 and it also seem to last as long. If you want a thin powerfull string my conclusion is you shold still go for bg66. It is money well spent. Bg66 is equal or better in all aspects but the price, and bg66 is still not too expensive. If you whant to save money on strings. Try a lower tension or say hello to bg70! Disclamer: I have only used one set of bg9 at 22x24, and it might be better if you string it att higher or lower tension, though I don't find it likely.
i already used bg 9...in my opinion...i think it a ltte bit harder cmpre 2 bg 6...i bggest fan of bg6 bb66...i think for smeone tht hve big hardr its a gud choise...
