    HI guys..
I'll be around next week in Singapore for few days, covering the Open for the IBF... I might just drop by to phit some shuttles with you.. When exactly do you play during the week ?

We usually play on Saturday from 1pm to 4 pm at Bishan Sports Hall, but may change the schedule for next Saturday (Aug 18th) because some of us will watch the semis of Singapore Open.

We also usually play on Wednesday night from 7pm to 10 pm at Paya Lebar, but for next week we are still unsure.

You can visit this site to check when and where we play:

Yes, we are still playing badminton. And yes, we also play on sunday. You can join us. Now there are about 10-15 people per session.

We use Yonex AS-40 for the shuttlecock. The shop is selling one tube for $22, I think.

Think we've all progressed since to a whole variety of shuttles like Finnex, Ashaway, Yang Yang, Gaja Mala, Sealion etc, etc ....

You're definitely welcome to join us ... :)

Hi ppl juz discover this website...got some questions wish u all will answer...here it goes:

I am a 16 year old boy currently taking my O lvls. Can i join you all? (I am very lousy, can be considered a newbie...and i may only join after O lvls, so certeinly my skills have decreased a lot).

2nd question...what's the average age group there? Is there someone around my age?

3rd question... is there someone skills which is not very good there so as to play with me?

4th question... how much do I have 2 pay??

5th question... what is the location usually?

Sorrie for asking so many questions...if you all dun wanna answer it's ok :)

    Hello Newbie!
    Welcome to the gang!
The players' age range from about 15 to 40+.
There is a wide range of players with different skill levels.
You only have to pay for the court fees.
Don't forget to bring at least 2 shuttles each session though!
We usually play at Bishan Sports Hall on Saturdays 2 to 5pm.

my goodness! what an old thread!

Brings back memories though. I think we had the very first BC Singapore group (founded in 2000-2001) and even had shirts designed etc. :)
But sad to say the Yahoo Group has closed already. :(

Although someone has revived the group???  This new group was founded in Aug 2004. Hmmm......

Budi is back in Indonesia working, will only be back in June I heard.
Blitz is no longer playing badminton though he still has a Ti-10 that ppl might be looking for.
Byron is studying in Australia but is back here now during the break.
Gladius is cycling nowadays, don't really play much due to knee problems.
TonyHalim aka mongoose aka mustafa is still as mysterious as ever! :D

Mustafa is secretly training for the Beijing Olympics MS .
There's a rumour that he might partner NetAsia in the MD.
Poor Lin Dan and Cai/Fu :p

Unfortunately, they won't be representing Singapore.
They will be playing for either Nauru, Tuvalu or San Marino. :D

Welcome & Thank you for your offer. Hope to visit Taiwan and play some badminton with you one day.

BTW, would you have any friends in Beijing who might be able to arrange similar accommodation for a large group going to watch the Beijing Olympics 2008? :)
