if 1 tension is given on a two piece job.whats the separate tension?

if i give a single tension for a 2 piece job would that tension be the main, cross or the average of both of the tension?

You are not giving him very specific instruction, and under the circumstances he will either give you 23 lbs for both mains and crosses or 22lbs mains and 24lbs crosses, the latter less likely.

Whether one piece or two pieces, it is fundamentally more sound to have crosses 10% higher than mains.
