I just got my racket restrung and i would like to put something on it. Would i use a: -bingo dabber -marker (sharpie) -spray paint -house paint - wat else??
Don't use spray paint, whatever you do. I tried this once on a very old racket, and it's impossible to use enough to get a good coating without using so much that it starts to gather at the criss crosses and drips everywhere. Result: the string that's painted is about twice as thick as it was before you started. The same goes for house paint, as it's far too thick. A Sharpie works nicely, and doesn't change the response of the string very much, but it does wear away more easily than stencil ink, so you will probably end up re-applying it a few times. I believe bingo pens have water based ink, which will basically slide off the strings as soon as they're subjected to any sort of impact (I'll be happy to be corrected on this by any experimenters out there). Your best bet, though, is dedicated ink (expensive though it is).
thx. but i have no idea wat dedicated ink is.... or where u would buy it to tell u the truth i want to draw on a batman symobol it would look awesome thanks for the help
dedicated ink is just ink made specifically for painted on badminton strings, you can buy them online or in specialty stores for badminton.
Yeah but where do i find a white sharpie?? would whiteout work?? Or would red work too? Cause i have a red permanent marker
it depend how dark is the blue string. black is ok on light light white/yellow/ is better on dark blue
yeah see the blue is as dark as the frame on the yonex armortec150 cause that is the racket i am using but would red work??
but my original armortec strings were like 32 pound...not good but it made my smash reatardedly good so wouldnt softer 25 pund pg80s make it worse?
