The current financial crisis has hit a Shanghai business tycoon with an unusual twist. The tycoon has 5 mistresses and his current dire financial circumstance would mean he could not afford all of them. He has been giving each of his mistresses a flat as free accommodation plus Y5,000/m.
He determined that his financial position now could only afford one mistress. So he decided to have a contest to choose which one he should keep. He hired a consultant from a modelling agency to help him in the selection.
The contest was held at a hotel and a winner was finally chosen. The consultant then conveyed the bad news to the first of the 4 losers, telling her that she had to leave him and also vacate the flat which will be sold by the Tycoon. Furious, she then drove off with the Tycoon and the other 4 mistresses in a car, and intentionally crashed the car, killing herself; the Tycoon and the other 4 mistresses were hospitalized. The 4 surviving mistresses, including the winner of the contest, all decided to leave the Tycoon. His wife, learning of this, left him.

LOL! That's really funny. You must have mistaken this as the "joke" thread.

...(some of you have probably seen these pics; if not, maybe our Syaoran_Style could share a bit more on this festival)..
If the U.S. has the Rose Parade, then France sure has the Orange Festival..

Default Anyone wants to try to ride in one of these??..

..i was going to put these in the "Jokes" thread, but thought otherwise, since the Chinese auto industry has improved a lot.
Anyway, check out these videos (some of you have probably seen them):

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D827IxEJVS4 (going at 64 km/h or 40 mp/h)

    The Thousand Hand Dance:
This is an awesome dance, called the Thousand-Hand Guanyin, which is making the rounds across the net.

Considering the tight coordination required, their accomplishment is nothing short of amazing, even if they were not all deaf . Yes, you read correctly. All 21 of the dancers are deaf. Relying only on signals from trainers at the four corners of the stage, these extraordinary dancers deliver a visual spectacle that is both intricate and stirring. Its first major international debut was in Athens last year at the closing ceremonies for the 2004 Paralympics. But it had long been in the repertoire of the Chinese Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe and had traveled to more than 40 countries. Its lead dancer is 29 year old Tai Lihua, who has a BA from the Hubei Fin e Arts Institute. The video was recorded in Beijing during the Spring Festival celebrations this year.
