Clear Shot: Drills to Improve it

There's one obvious thing you can do. Continuously practise it, with another person.

 

Start off simple and do clears back and forth with a partner.

Once you have mastered that then you can also modify it so that one person only clears straight and the other only clears cross this way you will have to move around the back of the court to play your clear shot.

So you clear straight your partner clears cross then you have to move cross court and then clear straight they move crosscourt and clear cross again and so forth.

Others are you can kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak and combind other shots if your comfortable doing that like they feed up a shot to the back of your forehand side you go back and hit a clear then come in and play a net shot or a net kill and then they feed another up and you clear it, etc.

There are many others and you can incoperate the clear into a lot of drills.

 

just keep playing and practising clear shots with your sparring partner.
