I must confess I'm also new to this 'but whatever lol'

You could post more details on your level and style of play.
That will help other members to give you better suggestions.

Buy the AT700 for singles (although it's darn good for doubles too).

The X1 is more suited for a heavy hitting attacking double's player.

It'll go wrong if he's a beginner,or if he doesn't have enough power to play with it..;).That's why..state more clearly ur current level n ur play style..then maybe we can help u..=)

If you go by that, then the X1 is even harder to play with. I dont' find the AT700 demanding at all and should even be OK for a beginner, if that's what he wants.

RSL is cheaper. If you have the budget, you will not regret getting a AT700.

    Lol. I actually have 2 at-700 lol
I play pretty good with them...I'm more singles player and I like faking lots.
but I've also liked x1 before but didn't know what to choose until my mom bought me a 700.
and now I just won a little tournament and I've received like 150$ so I could buy rackets or clothes or anything.
That's why I'm askin' you guys if I should buy another 700 or give it a try for the x1.

I don't think many people are particularly disposed toward "ew" rackets. :p I also don't think those are within his budget. If you already have 2 AT-700s, I don't think it's necessary to really buy another, as you already have a back up.
