Hi, I am planning on purchasing some rackets and i can get the rackets strung with BG65 or BG65Ti (24lb).. Price is not an issue. What would you recommend? Looking at DinkAlots reviews BG65 seems to be alot better. I always get my rackets strung in BG65Ti but after having played with the BG65 strung racket im not so sure the that Ti is better... what would you bc experts suggest?
everyone feels differently with the same strings. I prefer 65Ti over due to 1)slightly better repulsion 2)more feel and control 3) holds tension better. I'm using also 65Power (JP strings) on 2 of my rackets and they give better feel than 65Ti, but not enough to worth the extra money.
I am relatively new to the BG65 having tended to opt for the Ti variety, mainly because of its availability. Which one would you say holds its tension better, the ti or non-ti version?
Although I have read otherwise, in my opinion, I think the non ti holds its tension better. Case in point, all my rackets are strung at 25lbs - and by the same stringer - and yet the one with the original BG65 still feels freshly strung even after two months of continual use. I'd be interested to hear what other people think. I realise this is an old thread.
of these two i prefer BG65ti. But only just BG65: +great feeling at the net +good grip +last forever +dead cheap +soft feeling (=doesn't hurt your arm) -loose tension faster than any other string -really lacks repulsion -needs high tension to deliver BG65ti +hard feeling gives a crisp feel for such thick string +holds tension ok +nice sound (for those who like that) +excellent at high tensions +decent repulsion +cheap -a bit slipery -can feel dead if strung too loose All in all, if you want a 0,70 mm string from Yonex i think BG75ti and BG65 Power are better, but the price is a lot higher. The real bargain here is BG70 Pro. It's almost like BG65 but without the flaws.
