Melicia Kurniawan is from Tangkas. I am wondering if she's still coached by Liang Chiu Hsia. She was still coached by Liang 2 years ago when I watched the Asian Satellite.

Sealman was referring to the badminton player:
    H.R.H. Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana

Saw her during the Singapore Asian Satellite 2006 too.

The Princess and the rest of the Thai players trained at the tournament venue (Yio Chu Kang Sports Hall) last night. A friend of mine dropped by to watch but the bodyguards did not allow him to enter.

Chong Li Qun, Zulkiffli Zulfadli, Goh Ying Jing, Ooi Swee Khoon, Sutheaswari, MUDUKASAN are from KLRC. Only Beryno Wong from BAM's back up swuad to national team.

Watch out for Zulkiffli. His only 14 and already won Kedah U21 trophy. Watch his match against Singapore Sports School Lenny Tan. SSP player got thrash. He is also older than Zul by 2 or 3 years. I think Singapore will never catch up with Malaysia and you know what, Zul is not the best U14 Malaysian lolz. Sighzzz....Maybe Badminton funding in Singapore should go to other sports.....

The No. 1 seed for Men Singles, John Moody of New Zealand has withdrawn. Tanongsak is now the top seed.

Is this young Thai boy who beat Taufik in TC? I've never watched him playing but Taufik gave full credit to this young boy... he must be damn good...

    Yes, he's the one
He got the better of Taufik Hidayat in straight sets: 23-21 21-18

Does anyone remember his loss to Lee Chong Wei in the early rounds at this year's Asian Badminton Championships?
Tanongsak managed to take only 13 points off LCW in each game.

In any case, this lad is worth watching... he is headed for greater glory.
Must say, though, that his name is quite a mouthful: Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk!
