Watch out for Zulkiffli. His only 14 and already won Kedah U21 trophy. Watch his match against Singapore Sports School Lenny Tan. SSP player got thrash. He is also older than Zul by 2 or 3 years. I think Singapore will never catch up with Malaysia and you know what, Zul is not the best U14 Malaysian lolz. Sighzzz....Maybe Badminton funding in Singapore should go to other sports.....

Aiyo ...SSP players are all lousy ... they train like other normal schools ..and even get beaten by other normal school what .... SBA players are different ...more professional ....

SSP players like masak masak ...Singapore wasted a lot of $$$$ on the Sports School kids ...should give to the national team ..I think they will do better .

Not surprised. Ahn was impressive in his QF dispatch of Kashyap who was coachless(but would still have lost with a coach around except less badly). Ahn has a similar build like PSH but smaller version.

Well, out of 3 representatives in final, INA only managed to get one title.
Linnga Lie/Fernando Kurniawan beat SIN pair, Danny Bawa/Chayut Triyachart (INA/THA?) in rubber set, 21-12 17-21 21-19.
I believe they've won 2 consecutive titles. Congrats, then!

I was late for the finals and missed the XD and WS matches. Managed to catch the MS, WD and MD.

My friend aka Mr. Scanner was anticipating a very exciting MS final showdown between 'kimchi' vs 'tom yam kung'. Thailand's Pakkawat Vilailak had performed superbly in the semifinals and it was a pity he 'choked' in the finals and made lots of unforced errors.

Had expected a win for Indo WD pair but Permatasari was under heavy attack by the Singapore pair in the second and rubber game.

Fernando/Lingga of Indonesia had good understanding of their partner's game and covered each other very well in the MD finals.

Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari have been a threat to INA WD pairs increasingly. Remember, they beat Rani Mundiasti/Endang Nursugianti in the India Open recently. Now, they went on to beat Yulianti/Nathalia Poluakan and Nadya Melati/Devi Tika Permatasari in the Asian Satellite Final to clinch the title.

It's the Eng Hian effect I guess??

Beryno quit BAM last year. He's now with AST Badminton Club in Sabah. Right, jug8man?

Malaysia BC, For your information, Malaysia players who represent Malaysia in this tournament are from the clubs. Malaysia junior squads did not participate in this event.

Yes, I think she came about 3 to 4 years ago with her brothers who also play for Singapore in XD and MD. This is perhaps her best win with Yao Lei so far. She was formerly partnered with Vanessa Neo.
