    Team Shanghai will come to Vancouver and play
    exhibition games with local players on April 16 and
    April 18...

    Don't miss it lah.

    didnt they come to BC last year as well? i remember somebody was there for some matches withe the BC players. Well hope somebody will get some video of this.

    Nah, the Jiangsu Team came last year. I'm thinking of volunteering in it, but I'm sure someone on BC will be able to get some videos.

    2008 SHUTTLESPORT KIDS DAY Presented by DOUGLAS COLLEGE!

    The 2008 Shuttlesport KIDS DAY – a celebration of badminton – is April 19th, 2008. It’s a day out for the entire family at the Shuttlesport/Douglas College badminton academy in Coquitlam(Pinetree Community Centre – 1260 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam).

    Doors open at 8:30am with a BABOLAT kid’s mini festival starting at 9:00am.
    The mini festival is the perfect introduction to tournament play for kids age 8-12. The ‘fun’ singles competition is played on half court and everyone is guaranteed 5 games.
    The mini festival will be followed by fun & games featuring players from the Shanghai Provincial team and the Canadian National team. There will be opportunities to meet the players, get autographs AND perhaps get a chance to play against some of the players.

    The highlight of The 2008 Shuttlesport KIDS DAY will be the match between team Shanghai & team Canada. The 2 teams will play a best of 5 match that will feature some of the best players in Canada vs. team Shanghai. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30pm and finish at approximately 4:30pm.

    Be sure to mark April 19th on your calendar and come out with the whole family for a day of fun & games!!

    2008 SHUTTLESPORT KIDS DAY presented by Douglas College schedule:
    8:30am Doors open
    9:00am BABOLAT kid’s mini festival
    12:00noon BADMINTON BCFun & Games – meet the players & autograph session
    1:00pm CCAA presentation
    1:30pm Team Canada/BC vs. Team Shanghai
    5:00pm Draw prizes & closing

    Tickets for 2008 SHUTTLESPORT KIDS DAY presented by Douglas College:
    Under 10: No charge
    Under 19: $5.00
    19 & Over: $10.00
    Tickets available at the door
    Note: Seating available on a first come first serve basis

    Shanghai Team Visit Metro Vancouver

    Some of you know about this already
    I think there are 3 exhibitions events within this week
    Today - will be at VRC starting at 6:00pm
    Friday - will be in Arbutus Clubs - Time not sure - was told in the morning
    Saturday - will be at Pinetree CC - Morning - Kids day program - afternoon around 1:00 pm - exhibition games starts

    See attached Poster for Wed & Sat Events
    No longer members of VRC, the little elbows will not be at tonight's event.
    Derrick will play on Friday at Arbutus Club and Toby will be representing Canada together with David Snider and more on Saturday.
    Please note entrance charges for both Wed/Sat. Not sure about Fri

    The result is as predited 2-0, Our national camp "David" lost! :crying:

    Also 2-0 our BC's double team "Dereck" lost on Friday.

    They are so well trained they don't sweat.
    Did not remember the Shanghai players use any towel!
    (not like Lin Dan sweating during his games)
