Hi there, I know it's kind of personal and private thing, but you don't have to mention the specific figures maybe in range e.g below £1,000 £1,000-£1,999 £2,000-£4,999 £5,000-£10,000 above £10,000..??!!! if student for example...just mention your pocket money... Something like this, just to see how many or what sort of average salary/wages people normally play badminton earn.... Starts with me....below £1,000:crying::crying::crying::crying:

Why not just ask mod to make this into a pull? That way, I can put in my info without other knowing it is me. Also, what if you don't live off wage/salery and not a student? I think the idea of "average monthly income" is a better description for it. For me, they evil corporations I work for pay me with peanuts.

As ZeroCool implies, all salary is relative to where you live and how expensive it is to live there. Even though 1000 USD may seem really average in the US, it is a well paid wage in Malaysia for example. I make something like....
Well, I believe it's a relative term, when you factor in the cost of living. If you got paid RMB$3000 per month (US$400+) in CHN, you got a decent salary. If you got that in US, you can't even survive for a week, unless you receive other social welfare. A highschool student work in KFC, can get maybe US$1000 per month, if he choose work long hours, and I don't think anyone consider him as rich from society standard (of course, rich for a student). In CHN, I don't think a chief engineer (not a big firm ones) earns that much, but s/he should be considered as very well paid... So, don't be too jelious when you see ppl making $$$ on the pay check, this guy might still need to count every penny to make up the payment. Don't look down ppl who don't show as much on paper, but he might live like a king, in his own region.
I don't think 3,000 is a lot of money in china these days. Inflation is crazy here, a lot of food items and normal living products are more expensive than UK. Depending on what province you are in however, but in Beijing or Shanghai, you would be quite poor if just earn that much. I think this is a nonsensical poll since it depends entirely on what country you live in, whether you work part time and you level of education, so I don't think any meaningful data can be obtained, however it is the Chit-chat forum - the land of nosensical posts. People can also retain their anonymity.
