How do you pick a shuttle on the court floor?

You can also flick the shuttle up by "brushing" the racket along the feathers away from the cork.

This causes the feathers to act like a spring and bounce off the court, allowing you to catch the bird on your racquet as it rises!

You have to be careful though, cause if you press too hard you, knacker the shuttle. This aside I think it looks more impressive than the standard scoop as it looks like the shuttle "jumps" onto your racquet!

You can scoop up the shuttle with the racket without having the racket touch the ground. Takes even more practice but it can be done.

Can we see the YouTube video for that move?

I realize the potential paint problem. But my back hurt so I try to save my back without bending over to pick it up. . So far, no major harm done to my rackets.

The racquet shouldn't even scrape the floor.. when I do it, i just quickly turn my wrist to scoop the shuttle up. haha.. beginners tend to drag the shuttle and the racquet on the floor

this sounds ridiculous, but i learned how to scoop the shuttle from the floor, then i learned how to scoop the shuttle mid-air, before i even learned the rules of badminton.. :O

Here is a brief video tutorial. It's kind of short but you'll get the idea of how to do it properly by seeing it in slow motion. It also teaches you another trick of scooping the bird off the floor reversely. Hope this helps.
