    Hi,

I am an "intermediate Level" player & looking for some video(DVD) as an addition to refine my technique and to drastically improve my wife technique & playing. At the same time my children(9 to 13yrs) are coming up so I would like them to learn techniques as well as playing.

Can anyone suggest any DVD that suit my purpose?
    I noticed that
    A)Badminton England Technique DVD
    & I am impress with
    B) Complete Badminton Training by Zhao JianHua & XiaoJie

Can anyone comment on the above or let me know what else are available?
    Thanks

B is the best. Just check out the video section, or get the DVD if you understand mandarin.

    Hi,

    Thanks

Anyone know whether this is suitable as guide and shown to Children too?
I saw short snip of it and it seems pretty good but I have yet to see the full version and obviously in mandarin does not help.

As a matter of interest, can't anyone dubbed over the mandarin?

One day, if I can afford the time/hassle/expense, I would really like to arrange this.

I'm pretty confident I could get it done, provided I could offer the copyright owners sufficient...incentive. :D

    Something for the future!

I have no chance to watch A, but I did watch B completely. IMO, comparing with other badminton training DVDs I watched so far (not just A), B is a very good and quite easy-to-learn training DVD, but this DVD is not for kids or beginners, it more targets to those intermediate ones hoping to improve further. You could understand this from its own Chinese DVD name (if you can read it).

For Kids and beginner, I would suggest 2 DVDs: 1) XiaoJie's Learn to Play Badminton (45 episodes); 2) Xiong Guobao's Guo Bao Xian Ji (2 VCDs). The only problem is that I am not sure if they have English version.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the feedback
I tried searching on google but both the recommended items did not turn up

Could anyone advise where I can look at them or get them? I am in UK unless you can get them on the internet

    Thanks

    Anyone had translated them too?

Frankly, for kids, a junior coach is a better choice, if he/she is available in your area and cost is OK for you. Learning from DVD may be OK for adults (I doubt it is enough though), but it is not easy for kids (or via you) to well understand what are taught in the DVD. Just my 2cents.

You can find some of Zhao Jianhua's video on youtube. Try typing in 'badminton cctv'. It is in Mandarin but there's English subtitles.
