Okay, so I'm thinking to get the Victor Artery Tec Ti-98 and string it with Bg-65 strings. The recommended tension is : 4U - (H)25-28Lbs, (V)23-26Lbs What if I wanted it strung at like 20 lb because that's what I'm used to and it gives me the power I desperately need to smash because I'm not that strong.
Try to find a very flexible shaft racket as this will also help your power...Most of the time the player who lacks power uses too much arm swing and the added flex will also help your power... 2ol2play teaches hundreds of students and his recommendation for them is a racket he has made esp for them...The best thing about his own racket is that it is absurdly cheap and plays (for beginners) really great...has lots of flex and he strings it at 20#...this tension is also more "forgiving" of mis-hits...As your "technique" improves then go higher tension...
Read between the line please... The RECOMMENDED tension mean it is recommended. If you are used to 20 lb, ask the stringer to string it at 20lb. If tension at 20 lb give you the power you need, string it at 20lb. manufactures put out "Recomended" tension because it feel that is most playable tesnion for "Most" of the people. Since you are special, you need your special tension too. Just stay at 20 lb.
