Pre-stringing video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7U6S1uLcXw I did another pre-string video. I did it from the stringer's perspective for easier understanding. It was quite difficult to string effectively as I had to extend my arms away from the camera to keep my noggin out of the camera's way (even though it showed a few occasions). I hope it helps.
Yes it does . I'm going to try this ASAP. Anyway, I think it's easier to weave with tensioned mains... Thanks a lot Dinkalot
Any chance we can get a diagram of the starting knot that you're using? And do you own any shirts with sleeves?
Panda's don't wear sleeves. Starting knot...tie-off...I posted somewhere already... ...since the image, I modified my starting knot a little at the recommendation of Taneepak. I didn't see a difference in performance but it was easier to do, faster. I'll post updated images later.
I don't know how you did it.. ..but i was quite impressed at how you weren't fazed by the nice dance music. My knees and head were bobbing and bopping left and right just watching & listening to that video... Btw, as always, very good video, Dan..
That's because I was straining to keep my arms extended and trying not to show up in the video. I'm going to try another angle next time, it'll save 2 minutes on the string job.
That's.. ..even more impressive!..But then, i didn't see your knees & legs, perhaps they were moving to the beat?!?!..
because he want to be cooler? Hey, can you time your total weave and stringing time? It is not a speed contest but rather just to compare the average time. I'll try to record the times of my next few stringing jobs
Pre-Weave: Fast: 7 minutes Normal: 10 minutes Slow: 12 minutes Stringing with ECP (not including mounting racket): Fast: 11-12 minutes Normal: 13-16 minutes Slow: 17-20 minutes Stringing with Crank (not including mounting racket): Fast: 7-8 minutes Normal: 9-10 minutes Slow: 12-15 minutes Something like that.
No need, those are just estimates. I think if combined you can do it in about 30-35 minutes, that's just fine.
How much string do you use to start weaving the short side of the mains? Looks like you've got it down to just the right amount to finish it up without need for any adjustment.
Ah yes, the cycle has completed it self and you've come back to your o-so-camera friendly woven 7 so what does panda do? Makes another video of course! Seems like you made that crank stringing video so long ago now. Thanks panda!
I thought a 5-loop starting knot would take the longest to get it right. Would like to see how you can do it so easily.
WOVEN7 ! *standing ovation* juse realised its the crosses that eat into my time. I can do the mains as fast as you , but your tearing through the crosses there. you did in 5-6 mins what takes me nearly 20
