I don't want a new racket. A new racket WANTS ME!

I break my high Yonex end all he time from tension. But replace it with brand new one for only 20$. The kool thing is that I usually trade it in for an upgrade or downgrade with a little bit of cash

I seldom buy new racket, only buy after 3-4 years later. So far only have 3 rackets...

Just got into badminton again a month ago. Then comes the impulse to buy after seeing what my group is using. Own 3 rackets and give away 1. Looking for the fourth racket

For back-up, eh, not really, I mean, to replace it with my old racket, I'd be damned if I broke it, it's my dad's, he left his racket for us. But the since the racket is too old, I want to get a replacement for it.
If I were given the chance to buy a new racket, I'd choose the best one for me, which could take me from the very basics, to the very advanced level, to make it short, for long term support. I'd rather buy just one racket and use it until it broke before getting a new replacement, but not my dad's racket.

Hi all, I'm new to this forum though I've been playing badminton since primary school... been almost 18 years! Haha.. anyway, it's nice to discover this forum and I'm just dropping a msg to say hello!

With regards to this topic, it caught my eye because I just got a new racket and why I got it... haha as per the poll options, it's a little of everything, I guess.
Here it is:
Sintec's version of the Yonex Voltric 70 - Trinity 70.

The reasons for a new racket are different. First of all I'm interested to trial and error rackets. I'm very curios to try new models, other rackets, because I'm looking for a better weapon. For a period I'm happy and content with one racket but then a new one will be released and sometimes I catch my attention.
I love to observe new developments and technologies and want to try them. I'm not a collector.
Sometimes a racket breaks or a model runs out so I have to try a new racket because the previous model is not available anymore.
I don't buy a racket as spare. I like to have different rackets in my bag to choose one by my daily feeling.

Bought a Yonex Arcsaber 008 recently. The shop for some reason gave me the TH version, very nice except the pain felt when clashing or chipping it will be greater I suspect

Reason because my Carbonex 12SP broke, and I wanted to try something from YY again. If my Karakal breaks I might try a Victor next

I'm always a little too curious about new rackets and like to test them out and compare them to each other, so I buy MANY rackets. I kinda hope that my favorite companies (Panda Power&Li Ning) don't produce new models until at least September because I want to save some of my money^^

I think some of us on the forums here should get together and form a "Badminton Rackets Anonymous", a group to help those with the addiction of buying new rackets.
I'm only up to about 15 or so but I know many of you here are much worse, get help now....

Same here - I've got 14 right now. The alarming thing is that I've played for pretty much exactly a year now...I might need help
(although I'm pretty satisfied with what I've got now, covering everything I can use effectlively - my TPros will be the last addition for a while (I hope)...)
