Default A tape thing at the bottom of the handle?

Sorry if this has been talked about before. I tried to search for it but couldn't find an answer.

Anyway sometimes I noticed a player stick a tape thing at the bottom of the handle of their racquet, like the one in the photo attached. Does anyone know what is this for? I see it all the time in videos but just couldn't figure out what's the point of sticking a tape there for hiding the logo?

Some stringers put the date and tension there.

Some people put a piece of tape over their lead tape, to make sure it doesn't fall off.

And others cover the logo because they aren't sponsored, and don't want to give free advertising. That's what I'd do if I wasn't getting paid by my racket supplier.
