I'm in Thailand and a badminton geek. I enjoyed helping and brining around some foreigner friends met through www.badmintoncentral.com to enjoy playing badminton in Bangkok/Nonthaburi. Some friends have asked me to set up a badminton tournament for fun and to raise sports spirit in children. I have thought that it is somehow a good idea. Having thought of that, I found it requires a software to make every things easy and smooth. I looked and tried a few software/freeware: - Tournament Manager Pro 3 (demo version): I could not manage myself to be able to do draw diagram, and understand most of its feature enough as there is no Help on its web site or somewhere. - FixEm3a: It's for league with home and away matches. - Badminton Tournament Planer >> Seems to be good but TOO expensive for me a poor guy. Any suggestion, please. Thanks in advance. Albert K.
I agree. If a small local tournament, I don't see why it can not be done by paper and pencil. I've been part of management staff for some local tournies which features over 100 entries. We managed to get everything done by hand.
I remember this has been asked before so somewhere out there should be a thread with some usable software Just found out the price of Badminton Tournament Planner: 270 euro! Here is some freeware: http://www.download.com/Tournament-Bracket-Builder/3000-2136_4-10436272.html You can probably find a lot more using "free bracket software" as search terms .
Thanks to PlayaFromMalaya, LazyBuddy, and demolidor for your suggestion. I made a search term "software draw site:www.badmintoncentral.com" and could not find a topic I was looking for among too many web page results. and I thought some might be able to give me updated information of software. So, I did make this topic here. OK. I am going to read about Tournament Bracket Builder. Cheers, Albert Thailand
Tournament Bracket Builder is just right for draw creation. I will use it as it fast and save my time. I wish it have more match details to be made. Thanks to demolidor
OK. I found a thread on software and draw matches: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49564
