im using mp99 currently. im using bg65. i wanted something with more power and better sound and more "feel" when hitting the shuttle. any recommendation? what string should i use, what tension, and where! world of sports do stringing too, can i trust them?
Try BG80 @ 24-25lbs.. My friends have that string on their mp99 at the same tension and they love it..
WHich tension? If u play below 25lbs,u can go for BG85 for more repulsion.Durability would be an issue if u go above that.Above than 25,BG80 is a good choice.Best repulsion would be from BG66,NBG98..
Maybe hm.. SportsLink at CauseWay Point, by the Woodlands MRT Station.. My friends in Singapore used to string their racquets there, and so did I.. I forgot the prices though.
hmm..so if i want something more power as i feel that my smack is not strong enuff, i can go for bg85 or bg80. which tension can u guys recommand?
agreed... bg66 seems to be most popular with repulsion and feel. Most advance player and international player loves it. I focus only on bg66. Yippee..
Definitely go with BG-80 if you're looking for more power. I have BG-80 at 22 pounds on my MP99, and I love it to death.
thanks all for replying my msg!! anyway i have tried 23lbs bg85 on my mp99. but they said that anything beyond 22lbs might damage the racket? is tat true?
anyway..i make a great sacrifice. as they only have purple colour for bg85. . . as im looking for a yellow string which goes well with my mp99. . purple and yellow. . . oh man! :crying:. . . the nxt time i would like to try bg80 !
From all the racquets I strung before, BG85 and BG66 at 24 lb or higher (less than 29 lb, I will not go over 29lb without a waver) will not damage the racquet in anyway. The "Suggested Tension" is for general playability and to give Yoenx an excuse in case some player decided to go with 30 lb and stringer suck at it and broke the racquet.
Try NBG 98 yellow at 26lbs tension. I just did my rackets with red and gold NBG 98 @28lbs, sounds really nice and power is excellent. Durability is expected to be very poor.
