There are rumors that peter gade and taufik hidayat will retire after this year's OG. If that were really to happen, i doubt there will be anyone who is strong enough to beat LD, other than those fixed matches. Wont that make him the "loneliest" man in badminton world circuit? :)

I know LCW is good, but he doesnt seem to be anywhere near too. I guess TH still intrigues the fear in LD.:D

I think LD is under alot of pressure to win this coming Olympics. If he doesnt, he might never get a chance again.

But the problem is, this time the olympics is held at his home ground. That must mean something to LD u know.

And yeah, TH and PG. Been awhile since they beated LD. If I am not mistaken, TH did take away a set in some tournament.

Ya, i saw that, i guess ronald susilo might have been, damn, this win is like once in a lifetime. I dont see ronald susilo beating LD in the near future. LD is just one strong, mean machine. But, from the look of his injuries, he seems abit unstable. (or maybe those were just staged?)

Well, if i am TH, i might just retire from the world badminton circuit and just be a coach, and a badminton legend. I do not want to be beaten in this coming Olympics, I would want to be the Olympic champion that no one has beaten before. But, thats a loser's mentality. :D:D

Yes, i guess if he does not win the Olympics this time, the whole badminton population in the world would be quite disappointed. But, i will be rooting for TH.:D:D

One quick fact: Lin Dan has won most of the tourneys which are held annually but has NEVER won any tourneys which are held every 2 years (World Championships) or 4 years (Asian Games and Olympic Games).

Note: LD just started winning WC when the event changed to annually.

Lin Dan is the most consistent player. He wins every tournament, except recent fixed matches with Chen Jin.
One thing i noticed bout Lin Dan is that he is pressured when playing in Big Events such as the, Is he nervous? I dont know.

but i cannot say for certain that he will win the OG this year. It depends if he can handle the pressure. There are alot of other players that have improved incredibly fast. (ie. Boonsak Ponsana, Hafiz Hashim, Park Sung Hwan.)

even if Taufik & Peter retired, it would make no difference. There are alotta players that improve faster than expected and it may even surprise you during the OG. Anyone could win Gold. =0

I am going for LCW or WCH! even though he has been doing not so good recently.

Yes, i agree that everyone can win gold. But, its a matter on who is up to it. Badminton isnt like soccer, soccer is an team event, whereas badminton is an individual event. It all depends on the individual skill and experience. I think the closest to LD in terms of skill and experience would be LCW and TH. I dont think WCH stands a chance. But well, we have to wait till the OG to say that.

P.S: I am a TH fan, but i cant deny that LD is the strongest in world badminton now.

Yes, thats him. After breaking countless records and winning most of the medals, he quit being a professional at an early age. Thats quite something.
