hi all.. i've decided to play badminton once again and found my old racquet lying around my room. i used this 5 years ago bought it and used it for our PE class.. now comming back to playing badminton, i searched the net and i hardly found any information about my racquet. From what i've found out, it is a Carbonex 15 "Classic" i suppose because it has an external t-joint.. the tension is quite loose right now and so i want to restring it.. tried to search the internet for more information about my racquet but i think its too old. I want to restring it but i don't know what max tension it can withstand.. below are pics i've taken.. the frame is still in good condition thats why i'm planning to restring it and leave the option of buying a new racquet in the future.. so if anyone knows what is the max tension of this racquet and what type of string to be used here will be very much appreciated..
one of these is my backup backup backup racket. =D i have it strung at 23lbs no problem. im guessing 25 will be no problem.... never tried anything higher.
my classic cab 8 with the red external t joint that has something loose inside was only strung up to 21 by a very experienced stringer. When I hit on the frame now, it sounds like glass breaking. >.>
That's probably because of the aluminium frame without much paint on it. I have one as well, Cab8SP strung with bg65 @ 22lbs, and there's no problems with the frame what so ever.. So the cab15 should be able to withstand tensions raound 26lbs if it's strung by a good stringer.
is it the same as mine? if i recall correctly, there are other versions of cab15 and i think this ones the oldest.. i'm planning to restring it bg65 at 23lbs..
Almost all the classic carbonex racquets say 'full carbon shaft'.. even my 05' cab8sp and the new cab20's, etc.. But does it say 'made in japan' like his ? yeah probably..
