Rudy tapes sent to BBc cannot be viewed because BBC no longer has old machines !

Can anyone in UK remember what backup tapes BBC used in 70's,I remember it as Sony Betamax, slightly smaller than standard VHS.

Does anyone in UK or Europe know of any production houses that can convert 70's tapes to VHS?

    Help appreciated!

Thanks Cooler and UK player for your help.

I think the tape maybe Beta format/size but the playing machine

British made and extinct and not compatible with Sony players.

Anyway I will continue to follow up and find out exact nature of

the tape. Not that the BAof E is not trying, it is doing much more

    than other BA's.
