Hi! Been hanging around BC for a couple of weeks now, and the members here are really helpful (and nice.. i think). I'm from Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia (parents from sibu, so my main dialect is Foochow). I used to play a bit of badminton when I was a kid, and began to get a bit serious about the game at the age of 13. Was sent to Sydney, Australia at the age of 15, and for three years, I didn't even touch a racquet. Badminton ain't that popular in high schools here, so yeah. Finished my high school last year, entered UNSW this year, and began to pick up on the game again. I was so rusty on the court, felt as heavy as an elephant on my first game two months ago, but improving now Anyways, nice to meet you all. I'm sure i'll learn heaps of things here, and I'm looking forward to it. Cheers.
^^Welcome..^^ ..to BCBF, Dealucis!..Great to see another M'sian and Australian BCer here(yes, you have a lot of your M'sian countrymen in this forum). Good thing it's only been 3 yrs that you haven't touched a baddy racket. Anyway, make yourself at home and enjoy your time surfing here!
Heya! Another malaysian.Good to see u here. Looking forward for ur posts. And last but not least,Welcome!!!
Not in my high school it's like.. one and a half hours away from sydney's CBD, so there's not many international students there. There was less than 20 international students last year (somewhere around 11 - 14) including me, and the majority students there were aussies.. and there's only two things they love. Cricket and football (not soccer, football )
They talked more about AFL than NRL. I don't know much about these things even though i've been here for quite a while haha. They're all the same to me. Get an oval shaped ball, pass around, kick around. Was never interested in the sport.
