What do you use more? the traditional fist like grip or the new one?

    I was just wondering which one people use more because when ever i train my coach is like telling me to use the traditional one while i want the new one. So i was just wondering if using either one wont affect anything.. tnx:D

    Definitely the new one. If your asking to know which one to use. Use the new one.

    thats kinda hard to do haha how do you convince a coach who prides himself as one of the best which he really is hehe...to let me use the new one.

    Since when was a fist-like grip "traditional"? :confused: As far as I'm aware, it's always been a simple error.

    Of course, we might have different ideas of what "fist-like" means.

    I dont hammer-grip, I use the 'basic forehand grip'.

    It's hard to tell much from that picture, although the grip seems a little tight to me.

    And the grip tape is ridiculous; not even Sigit goes that far. Why not cover the racket head too? ;)

    i think its that long because i think....theyre lazy to cut of the extra so they just put on the whole thing...hehe i "think"

    It's way to neatly wrapped to "just lazy"....

    poser ;)

    But, from my experience (and msyelf having many difficulty's with it)...
    People's technique when dry-swinging, or just gripping, is often pretty different from the way they normally do it...
    People squeeze their grip more, or over-exaggerate their movements.

    But with 'traditional' he seems to mean the fingers aren't really spread apart... But that could be me...

    I hold it with my fingers and 'fist-like' grip when I am done my stroke
