Well, he did, but that does not explain his current absence. He joined the army at the same time as Jung Jae Sung, in February 2009 and the two of them missed the same tournaments during their basic training (AE, BAC, etc.) and they both graduated in late 2010.

Can someone confirm whether Park is still in the Korea national team? His name has been missing from the HK, China SS, Macau GPG and Korea GPG lists.

Park Sung Hwan is currently injured, he needs about three months to get back on his feet and will probably be back for the Korean Super Series in January.

It's good to know that PSH has not retired from the sport of badminton.

    I just read a news from http://sports.sina.com.cn/o/2011-11-...65842702.shtml

Park has undergone an operation in September 2011. He had a poor blood circulation on his shoulder.

Park Sung Hwan has replaced Kang Kyung Jin as coach of the Yonex Badminton Team. Among his charges are Korea's #1 and #3 singles players, Lee Dong Keun and Hong Ji Hoon.

According to the latest rankings, Park Sung Min. Hong Ji Hoon just lost points from last year's Thomas Cup and fell 10 spots. Son Wan Ho should start to clamber up the rankings once he plays in the Thailand and Singapore Opens.
