yes, i think he came over from China. he lives and plays in Edmonton. plays doubles with Hao Li. he's pretty good.
He's also the 2008 Canadian Colleges Athletics Association (CCAA) Singles champion. He went 4-1 in round robin, (beaten only by Raymond Wong of Ontario) and he bested both Richard Liang and Kiran Bogavelli of BC in the tournament.
well u19/u23 canadian nationals just happened last week but dan kai didnt play in it unfortunatly. well for canadian ranking here in alberta they do a national rank and all that so technically you dont have to play national events for that one just the way it works. he did play CCAA which is a national event more or less.
Sadly, there are no vids of him, I heard that he came from China not too long ago, so I don't think there would be many vids of him.
well hes played in a fair share of tournaments and has been in alot of finals so if anyone took any videos of those then you coudl see them but if they upload them anywhere is another story.
I rallied with him once and watch him rally, he is an exceptionally good player. He is currently in china but will return soon. He is trained by Wang Wen at the Royal Glenora and rarely playes doubles with Hao Li or for that matter he usually doesn't play doubles. He also beat Hao Li at the Royal Glenora club championship in the A block final (it was a waterfall tournament) and for doubles he played with Connor Reinson.
I heard stories about Wang Wen. He was so fast that he would do high backhand clears like 3 times per year.
you're too good... I guess I meant to say was he was so fast on the court that he never really needed to use high backhand clears. I can't do high backhand clears yet. Therefore, I am forced to use round-the-head shots all the time.
I was just joking, in any case when I have watched him rally if they send it high to his backhand he smashes or drives it with his backhand. Try doing that or dropping instead of clearing.
