    ..kwun, must've over-tweaked the server...

..i was actually able to sneak a peek at BC, this morning close after i woke up, but a few minutes later, it was gone. Went kaput. If i remember correctly, it went out, along with the tournamentsoftware.com livescore link, around the time the INA team played THA. I believe it was right after Taufik had lost and the 2nd INA MD pair was in the middle of playing.
The interesting thing was, i thought BC had gone over the current record of no. of users at one time.

Oh, one more thing, the lagging after posting a reply seems to be fixed.

For me it was possible to see the Badmintoncentral.com hopepage for a few minutes around 10:00 GMT, not even fully loaded. From 09:00 GMT - 19:30 GMT it was completely impossible to get onto Forums. Each time I tried, I got the iExplorer error.
Finally able to get back on... I missed something today, and it definitely didn't feel right!

Yeah... On Day 1 of the TC/UC 2008, Sunday 11-May-2008, BC lagged and and died on me too.

Fortunately, on Day 2, things appeared to be fixed.

an upgrade from the current one will cost a lot of $$ unfortunately. i am actually not sure what the cause is for the crash yesterday. we will see how the server hold up for the rest of the week. it seems much more stable today than yesterday. we have 700+ users online and the load is still not 50% yet.

i am using the TC/UC as a gauge for the Olympics. if the server cannot handle the load for the TC/UC, likely we will be dead for the Olympics as well. then i will have to serious consider a faster server.

    hopefully it will be ok.

Actually Kwun, it's going quite smoothly tonight. However, because Live Score is down, we don't really have the real traffic.

..kwun, with the rate the Livescores @ tournamentsoftware.com site has died, numerous times & much to the dismay of many BCers, during the first 2 days of the TC & UC i think they're the one that needs a major upgrade>>or at least the source they're working with!...hmmm..

...yeah, BC survived and Livescores didn't!..

Hmm, and this got me thinking....what if, what if, tournametsoftware.com joins up with BC and we all can have Live Up-to-the-minute score ticker of tournaments on this site.....but then kwun will have to add flash/java programs to the software...aahh, never mind, (just daydreaming here, as it'll probably create more headache for kwun)..

Yeah... On Day 2 of the TC/UC 2008, Monday 12-May-2008, BC survived but not Livescores@Tournamentsoftware.com.

Perhaps our Badminton traffic for TC/UC 2008 has exploded. Let's see what will happen on Day 3 today.
