    Go for it..

..another extra hour is okay, too. Question is, why an hour?? Heck, let's take the whole evening/afternoon off. It'll relieve you of doing the moderating.;)
I think most, if not all, of BCers NEED to get away or even go out & play some baddy, anyway. Or finally do some work..:p
As a matter of fact, a few of these server maintenance/per month is not a bad idea at all...hmm..

I guess Kwun's anticipating the potential explosion the TC/UC might cause to the server. A good idea to prep ahead of time. I guess we've become so spoilt these days that we expect no lag time while on BC ;):D [thumbs up]

well, yeah. totally. just in case the extreme high traffic causes the server to overload and burn up in smoke, we will at least still have some data retained. :D

kwun's always thinking about you guys..

...esp. you guys in the Asia region. Tomorrow (tonight, U.S. time), you guys will be out on your lunch break anyway, around 12 or 1 o'clock. By the time you guys come back from lunch, the server will be up and running again...
...i'm looking fw to a new record of the most users to this site; current record is 1,445, this yr.;)

Don't quote me but I think we had 60+ for one PAW SS. Yes, Sandy would be able to verify that.

okay...we are now done with server stuff. just curious kwun, but..did you only do a data backup, or did you take BC offline to also do software updates, ect.

    just data backup tonight.

software updates will have to come after the TC/UC. too risky to do upgrade right before a major tournament. :)
